John's Trips
My name is João, I am from Figueira da Foz and I have a degree in mechanical engineering. I have a huge passion for travelling, exploring (one day, who knows, like Indiana Jones and Lara Croft) and learning more about our world, both culturally and gastronomically.
Like everyone else, there was a trigger for all this thirst for adventure. Ever since I was little, I've heard about my parents' travels, and before I knew it, I was participating in the Erasmus student exchange programme. And honestly... I'm glad I did, it really opened my mind and left me wanting to continue exploring and meeting new people.
During my time living in Croatia, without knowing how, I started planning and booking trips between cities, just with close friends. Out of nowhere, within weeks I was planning trips between islands and countries with almost 60 people in my care.
Well, with so much success (i.e., I didn't lose anyone), the name ‘John's Trips’ began to emerge as a joke.
Four years later, I find myself stuck at the airport in Jordan. With more than eight hours to wait for my flight, I take out a pen and paper and begin to write about my days in Jordan, and from here you can guess where this led...
